Links

Author Post
Ruth Mastron Hi, I've just passed the test for Module 3!smile

I'm finding the links to resource and additional reading (news articles, etc.) to be very interesting and helpful, but have a couple of questions.

1. I've noticed a couple of broken links in Mod 3--should have made a note of them, sorry!
2. Is there a full list of all the links by Module? I'm thinking I'd like to bookmark some of them but not sure at this point which will be the most useful.

ThanksQ
Annie Slee Hi Ruthsmile

Thanks very much for letting me us know. I do check the links regularly to ensure they are all working correctly but I have just managed to find one broken link for the Anti Bullying Alliance, Resources 3 in Module 3 that wasn't working so great spot and many thanks.smile

When you get to the next steps module after you have successfully passed the training (Module 5) we provide a post training summary for each module including the links. So don't worry too much about making notes as you will be able to reference them once you have completed the training :)

Hope this info. is helpful.

Good luck with Module 4.

Annie
Ruth Mastron I've passed the final exam and am delighted to have done this training!

The "Next Steps" module contains all the summaries I was hoping for, so thanks for anticipating my needs.
Annie Slee Congratulations Ruth!

We will also send you the latest edition of the RTM newsletter, so please keep a look-out for that.

Once again, many congratulations and welcome to our growing community of certified moderators.

\n\nVery interesting! I certainly agree that one advantage of human moderation is that people understand cultural things. A machine won't always pick up on, say, local slang.

Thanks Erica.

Agreed. smile This is one of the many advantages of human moderation. It's true that automated moderation is getting more and more sophisticated but I believe there will never be a time when human moderation isn't needed.

When 'humans' are creating the content then human moderation (in conjunction with moderation software) is the safest and most thorough way of moderating.

I'm not convinced however sophisticated the technology becomes that it will be able to pick up human nuances alone. smile

Moderation Team If you have a few minutes spare - read this fascinating blog by ICUC on how they managed to say a small thank you to their Moderators by buying them lunch. A simple thing you'd think? Think again!

The blog highlights the complexities of having remote workers especially if they want to do something as simple as order lunch for them.

Read on ... it's fascinating and fun :)
