View post (A general question about doing moderation)

Hello
I started the training yesterday. From module 1 to 4, I passed the assessments very quickly. But in module 5, I was quite stuck. I tried three times on the assessment 5, but each time failed. I feel quite frustrated.

I have one question to ask. It is a general one. Please do me a favor and help me out.

My question is: in general, in what degree can a moderator decide to allow the username as it is. The "degree" here, I mean as a moderator, we'll reject immediately the username if it includes some hidden meaning of profanity/vulgar/sexual, which is known and very evident to everyone. But if the meaning hidden is not well known to everyone but only to a few people, but it is vulgar/sexual and only to those people. Do we need to reject it anyway?

I do a lot of research on usernames, and I was quite astonished by the ways that some users hide the vulgar meaning in their usernames. Sometimes it is quite unknown to general public, even to me if I didn't do the research on the internet... in that case, do we need to allow it or not?

So is my question safe? It's just a question I think a lot during the training. So anyone can help me please?

Thanks in advance!
