“We would like to minimise the amount of time we take to teach the basic moderation fundamentals and also encourage applicants to take the course before applying to us for a moderator role. We went on to ask to ask Chuck what ICUC found to be the most valuable aspect of the training and whether they will you consider putting other employees through the Moderation Gateway course in the future?
“We have hundreds of applicants on our database, and being able to short list those with the certification will decrease the amount of search time for our recruiters. One ‘bad’ hire can lead to problems internally as well as a potential risk for the client. We also hope that it can reduce the amount of internal training time before we feel comfortable having a moderator work on client accounts without constant supervision.”
Chuck went on to say: “We see the value not only for the applicant pre-screening process but also as a client proposal value when providing quotes or responding to request for proposals by including the information that all content specialists working on a specific client account will have received certification. Overall we see Moderation Gateway’s training in terms of value for money as excellent.”
